Rustic plant that does not require particular care for rocky garden, dry sandy and sunny soils. The leaves and stem rest on the ground. It has large flowers with pure colors that open in the daytime and close again at dusk. Flowers are all summer long. Requires moderate watering. Sow from February in glas covered seed tray or plant out directly from April covering the seeds with a thin layer of copost or sand. The seedings should be planted in their pots after 8 weeks. Transplant when there is no longer any danger of frosts.
