Description
Vegetable to be eaten in late autumn and winter, characterised by a delicate bitter flavor ,into a low energy value and good mineral salt content. Sow in the open field from April to July. in rows 90 cm apart and thin plants out to 50-60 cm . To make the cardoon ediable, tie back the leaves into bundle and cover the stem with earth and straw, leaving only the top uncovered after 3 weeks it is fully blanhed and ready to harvest .
