Also known as horseradish, it is a herbaceous species with a round top-shaped root, black skin, tender and crisp white pulp with a hot flavour. Sow in Summer in open field in rows 25 cm apart and with 20 cm between plants along the row. The harvest starts in October and lasts all through the winter.
