A branching canopy.
Room to breathe.
Let the trunk remain visible beside low furniture. Keep the crown clear of curtains and overhead shelving.
Choose a bright window-side position where daylight reaches the leaves, rather than judging brightness at floor level.
Planting & styling guide
How do I settle a branching tree into its planter?
Plan the position first
- Check the full crown against curtains, shelves and the route into the room.
- Move it by supporting the container and root ball, never by pulling the branches.
- Identify how the chosen planter drains before the first watering.
- If repotting is needed, keep the trunk base at its existing soil level in a slightly larger draining pot.
- Check stability and leave access to remove collected water.
A change of planter is not always a repot
Check the delivered arrangement first: an outer cover and a growing pot serve different purposes. Do not assume a decorative planter has drainage holes.
How do I maintain its open branching shape?
- Light the leavesKeep the canopy in bright filtered daylight. A tall cabinet between the window and the leaves can shade an otherwise bright corner.
- Check the root ballLet the mix dry slightly before watering thoroughly. Clear water collected inside a cover or saucer; do not water by a fixed weekly calendar.
- Keep cuts deliberateShorten a protruding shoot only when needed, cutting just above a leaf or node. Wear gloves and protect nearby surfaces from sap.
- Inspect branch junctionsWhile wiping leaves, inspect undersides and branch junctions for scale or mealybugs. Isolate a suspect plant before treating a confirmed problem.
What works beneath an airy tree canopy?
Keep companions in separate pots outside the trunk base. Each still needs its own light and watering check.

Frequently asked questions
Indoor Ficus Altissima Plant · Ficus altissima
Will it stay at the height I buy?
No. The options describe supplied height ranges. Allow future growing room and use selective pruning when branches exceed the available space.
Read moreIs this the yellow-variegated form?
The current product images show green leaves with pale veins. They do not promise the yellow-edged foliage of a named variegated cultivar.
Read moreWhy are there fewer planters for the taller size?
The available combinations are those listed for this product. At present 1.7–1.9 m comes with square or cylinder cement; the shorter size also offers plastic pot and bamboo basket.
Read moreDo bare lower branches mean the tree is unhealthy?
Not necessarily: the supplied form has a visible trunk and open branches. Compare with its usual shape. If leaf loss is new or increasing, check light, root moisture and direct AC airflow before adding water or feed.
