Frequently asked questions
Thyme
Can it share a wet planter with basil?
Thyme generally prefers drier, more freely draining roots. Separate pots make these different watering needs easier to manage.
Will a woody centre become leafy if I add more feed?
Feed cannot reliably restore bare old wood. Use light regular tip pruning and renew tired plants when necessary.
Does drought tolerance mean a small pot never needs water?
No. Check the root mix and water when needed; limited pot volume dries differently from an established garden plant.
Should I repot on delivery day?
Check root condition and drainage first. Avoid unnecessary disturbance to a healthy newly arrived plant; repot when roots or the medium require it.
