Frequently asked questions
Cherry Tomato
Why do tomatoes split after rain?
A rapid increase in water after a dry spell can split ripening fruit. Keep moisture more even and drainage clear.
Should every side shoot be removed?
Pruning depends on whether the supplied variety is bush or cordon type. Confirm its growth habit before stripping side shoots.
Is this a permanent flowering display?
No. Seasonal plants have a growth and flowering cycle; plan replacement or renewal when the display finishes.
Will more fertiliser prolong every flower?
No. Flowers age naturally; excessive feed can favour soft leaves rather than a balanced display.
