Plants to pair with it
Arrange in separate pots so light, water and space can be managed for each plant.

Starry flower clusters fill the sunny space in front of the trellis; keep the pots apart so the vine cannot climb in.

Frequently asked questions
Ipomoea Cairica (Cairo Morning Glory)
Isn't this a weed?
It is listed as invasive or potentially invasive in some places. Grow it only in a pot and never dump cuttings or seeds in the countryside.
Can I plant it in a bed or in the ground?
Not recommended. Stems root wherever the nodes touch soil, so a pot is much easier to keep under control.
Are the seeds toxic?
Hong Kong Hospital Authority data say the seeds can cause diarrhoea if eaten. Remove seed capsules and keep the plant out of children's reach.
Is flowering guaranteed?
Flowering depends on season, sunlight and plant condition, so blooms on arrival are not guaranteed. More sun helps.
