Frequently asked questions
Crossostephium chinense
Why are the lower stems bare?
Its leaves cluster at the shoot tips; bare lower stems are a natural trait, not a sign of disease.
Does it flower?
It bears small yellow flowers, but timing depends on season and plant condition; it may arrive without flowers.
Can it go on a seaside balcony?
It is a coastal native recorded as tolerating salt and salt spray; still keep it out of strong, direct wind.
Does it need frequent watering?
No. Let the soil dry a little between waterings; constantly wet soil is bad for the roots.
