Frequently asked questions
Devil's Ivy
Can I root the cuttings in water?
Yes. Stem cuttings root easily in water; pot them up once roots form.
Can it live in a windowless room?
It tolerates low light for a long time, but darkness fades the variegation; a window with natural light is still best.
Why are the leaves all at the stem tips?
Older leaves yellow and drop over time, leaving foliage at the tips; regular trimming keeps it full.
Will the leaves get bigger?
Potted plants usually keep juvenile leaves; with a support to climb and enough light, leaves can grow larger.
