Frequently asked questions
Hippeastrum Rutilum
Should I cut the leaves when the flowers finish?
Keep green leaves. They replenish the bulb; remove spent flower stalks and adjust care as growth changes.
Can I force it to bloom repeatedly without a recovery period?
The bulb needs healthy growth between displays. Constant forcing and overfeeding can weaken it.
Does a resting plant need the same watering?
No. Follow actual leaf growth and root moisture, reducing water as growth slows without leaving the pot saturated.
Should I repot on delivery day?
Check root condition and drainage first. Avoid unnecessary disturbance to a healthy newly arrived plant; repot when roots or the medium require it.
