Frequently asked questions
Sensitive Plant (Mimosa pudica / Touch-Me-Not)
Is leaf folding a sign that it is dying?
Folding after touch or at night is normal. Persistent collapse without recovery needs a check of moisture and light.
Can children keep touching it all day?
Avoid repeated stimulation. Let the leaves reopen and give the plant time for normal growth.
Do patterned leaves need stronger midday sun?
Not necessarily. Sudden harsh light can damage foliage; follow the species-specific light guidance.
Can I trim a damaged leaf tip only?
Small dry edges can be tidied carefully; keep sound leaf tissue and investigate repeated damage.
