Medium – later maturing variety, tapered root with fine orangey-red colour, crisp and flavoursome. Good rusticity, adapts equally well to all types of soil provided it has been softened by hoeing. The foliage is of medium vigour and finely jagged. Sow in the open field in rows 30 cm apart and with 2/3 cm between plants along the row.
